“Sweet Spot” is a performance of expanded live cinema where two animation filmmakers – Jorge Ribeiro and Paulo Patrício – in alter-ego mode and in a playful way, establish a dialogue between different languages, media, and techniques, crossing live electronic music, video projection, animation, live and real-time painting and drawing. It is, at the same time, a work in progress between literally two big heads.

“Sweet Spot” had its premiere at the World Animation Festival, Amarante, 2021, followed by presentations at other festivals such as: Monstra – Lisbon Animation Festival, 2021 (where it was considered as one of the best moments of the festival); Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival (Stereo Section), and Cinanima – International Animation Film Festival, 2022.
The performance is often accompanied by masterclasses in schools and conferences.
